ABSTRACT
PT. Pertamina is considered necessary to apply the habit of innovating in the company's environment because the oil and gas industry is currently experiencing turmoil. The turmoil experienced in the oil and gas industry today is the decline in world oil prices and also fluctuations in the value of the rupiah (Pertamina Annual Report 2015). This is reinforced by PT. Pertamina 2015 which shows a decrease in operating income and sales. This trend shows that PT. Pertamina needs a new breakthrough that can make this company survive in the dynamics of current oil and gas conditions that are turbulent. Innovation is needed to protect the company which is a state -owned enterprise to continue to compete in the global oil and gas industry. Pertamina needs innovation in order to lift the performance of PT. Pertamina again scored high profits. Pertamina is currently implementing BTP (Breakthrough Project), BTP as a stage of transformation of Pertamina to realize the vision of 'becoming a world -class national energy company and the aspirations of the Asian Energy Champion 2025. Innovation allows Pertamina to survive in the strong challenges of the business environment in the last two years. This study found that Proactive Personality provided benefits for Innovative Behavior at PT Pertamina Mor V Jatim Balinus. Based on a survey of employees who work in several divisions of one of the state -owned companies in Indonesia, this study found that an increase in Task Conflict explains the positive relationship between Proactive Personality and Innovative Behavior. This process is moderated negatively by Job Autonomy, so the effect of proactive personality on task conflict will weaken if employees feel the autonomy job. The results showed that Job Autonomy at PT. Pertamina Mor V Jatim Balinus can weaken the task conflict among proactive employees. The more the autonomous of the employee's work, the more rarely the employee will feel the task conflict.
