Abstract

Corporate culture is an important factor that influences employee performance. Corporate culture will further complement its influence on employee performance if employees have affective organizational commitment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of corporate culture on the performance of plantation foremen and to analyze the influence of corporate culture on the performance of plantation foremen through affective organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study aimed at plantation foremen as employees of the plant department at the Jatiroto sugar factory, Lumajang. The results showed a significant influence between corporate culture and employee performance and a significant influence also occurred in the relationship between corporate culture and employee performance with affective organizational commitment as an intervening variable.
