Abstract
Along with the changes in top leadership that occurred in the Wringin Anom Sugar Factory environment - Situbondo and the fluctuations in profit / loss of PG Wringin Anom - Situbondo obtained within a period of five years, it is a picture of the performance of PG Wringin Anom. With the change in top leadership brings different leadership styles that affect job satisfaction which can have an impact on employee performance. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The hypotheses tested are H1: transformational leadership style has a significant effect on employee performance. H2: transformational leadership style has a significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. To test this problem, questionnaires were distributed to 57 permanent employees of PG Wringin Anom, sampling using saturated or census sampling. The collected data were then analyzed through SPSS. 20.0 with path analysis. The results of the path analysis to determine how large the path coefficient of direct influence between transformational leadership style and employee performance and the indirect influence of transformational leadership style on employee performance through job satisfaction. The path coefficient analysis showed a direct effect of 0.439 and an indirect effect of 0.330 through job satisfaction. The total effect of transformational leadership on employee performance was 0.439 + 0.330 = 0.769. The path analysis concluded that transformational leadership significantly influences employee performance. Transformational leadership significantly influences employee performance through job satisfaction.
