Abstract

This study aims to prove whether bank stability can mediate the influence of good corporate governance on company performance. The number of samples taken in this study was 178 company years (firm-years) from banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2013-2017. The data source is secondary data sourced from annual reports obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and each sample company. Analysis of the research data used in this study used path analysis with the help of the SPSS program version 24. The results of this study indicate that bank stability can partially mediate the influence of good corporate governance on company performance. The higher the implementation of good corporate governance, the more bank stability will increase, which will then have an impact on improving company performance.
