Abstract
In 2010, PT X used a cost leadership business strategy where this strategy focuses on low selling prices by making low production costs. The business process carried out by PT. X in getting customers is by tendering work in various government and private agencies that are required to provide competent prices below the given ceiling so that PT. X must be able to make low operational costs by combining resources so that they can be used simultaneously with other projects being worked on. In this study, an evaluation of PT. X's business strategy was carried out by knowing internal and external factors in order to identify internal weaknesses and strengths as well as threats and opportunities that will be faced from external sources so that it can improve the company's performance in the future. The results of the EFE matrix above showed that the difference between opportunities and threats was positive so that management felt that PT. X's strategy still had external opportunities to compete in the construction services industry. For the results of the IFE matrix calculation, it was found that the difference between strengths and weaknesses was positive so that management felt that PT. X still had internal strengths to develop and compete in the construction services industry. PT. X is in Quadrant I (positive, positive) where this position indicates a company that is strong and has opportunities. The recommended strategy is Progressive, meaning the company is in prime and stable condition so that it is very possible to continue to expand, increase growth and achieve maximum progress
