Abstract
It is not new that the phenomenon of turnover intention is something that is highly considered by all companies in various fields, many factors cause turnover intention where these factors can have positive and negative impacts on turnover intention. The purpose of this study is to examine the reciprocal relationship between superiors and subordinates (leader member exchange) on the employee's desire to leave the company (turnover intention) mediated by job satisfaction felt by employees (job satisfaction) and justice provided by the company, namely justice in the form of rewards (distributive justice) and justice in the form of procedures determined by the company (procedural justice). This study was conducted at The Grand Darmo Suite Hotel Surabaya. This research survey was conducted on 52 respondents with staff positions from various divisions. The statistical tool in this study used Partial Least Square (SmartPLS 2.0 M3), and to test mediation using the Sobel test online (quantpsy.org). Based on the test results, it shows that leader member exchange has a positive and significant relationship with job satisfaction, distributive justice and procedural justice; Job satisfaction has a negative but insignificant relationship with turnover intention, slightly different from distributive justice having a negative and significant relationship with turnover intention, similar to the relationship between procedural justice and turnover intention, which is a negative and significant relationship. Furthermore, the test results indicate that distributive justice and procedural justice are mediating variables between leader-member exchange and turnover intention, but in contrast to job satisfaction, it is not a mediating variable between leader-member exchange and turnover intention.
