Abstract
One of the key factors that determine the success of a company is the availability of an appropriate company operating strategy to win business competition against its competitors. This operating strategy must be in accordance with the company's corporate strategy and business strategy. In addition, the operating strategy must be formulated based on external and internal conditions. Thus, the operating strategy can be a reference for the company to carry out its business activities in order to win business competition. This study aims to compile a draft operating strategy for the management of the JT gas field by PT X that is in accordance with the corporate strategy of PT P and the business strategy of PT X and based on external and internal analysis of the company. This operating strategy draft was prepared with the aim of determining the appropriate strategy related to the opportunities and threats in business competition as well as how to utilize existing strengths and how to improve existing weaknesses. Based on the draft operating strategy that has been prepared, it can be concluded that the operating strategy draft is in accordance with the corporate strategy of PT P and the business strategy of PT X, and has also considered aspects of the analysis of existing external and internal factors. Furthermore, according to discussions conducted with the management of PT X, this operating strategy draft will be used as a reference for the official preparation of the JT gas field operating strategy.
