ABSTRACT
PT. XYZ is a company engaged in commercial document printing, currently implementing the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) system that is used to support companies performance. But based on the research that has been done, there are several obstacles faced by the company especially in the production scheduling division and raw material planning division, where the administrative process in making production scheduling and raw material planning calculations Microsoft Excel. This is very risky for errors because of the limited level of human accuracy, data processing and presentation of information that is need for a long time.
Based on these constraints, the researcher proposed the improvement of the MRP System Implementation at PT XYZ so that all required information from Various Divisions Could be well integrated and could further assist the production schedule for Estimates for products delivery to consumers and raw material planning teams in planning raw materials, among others, determining what raw materials are need, determining the time when the raw materials are used and how much is needing is no shortage or accumulation of raw materials in the warehouse.
This study uses a type of qualitative research - a case study in which the researcher observs and explores deeply the programs, events, processes, activities that occur in an object, in this case the object of chosen is the mrp raw material inventory planning system implementing Better Development or Improvement Can Be Done.
