Natural Sciences, Social Sciences = A Small Part of His Knowledge

Natural Sciences, Social Sciences = A Small Part of His Knowledge

Suaramuslim.net – Do we realize that natural laws also apply to social life? And that all true knowledge supports each other. Let's look at some examples below:

1. The force of attraction in science is certainly used in social sciences as explained in the books ' The Secret ' and ' Law of Attraction ', that someone whose mind and heart are positive, will attract positive things to him. And conversely, someone whose mind and heart are negative, negative things will be attracted to him. More or less the same thing is also stated in Islamic teachings, that a good person will be a soul mate for a good person and vice versa, an adulterer will be a soul mate for an adulterer too. This is seen in QS An Nuur 26 below:

" Vile women are for vile men, and vile men are for vile women (also), and good women are for good men and good men are for good women (also) . " (QS An Nuur: 26)

2. In life, we also know the "apparent motion of the sun" (that it appears as if the sun is orbiting the earth), which is due to our limited knowledge and experience of the objects we see and appear. As a result, we then draw wrong conclusions about those objects. This also applies in our social life. Don't we often make mistakes in judging others because of our limited knowledge and experience of others?

A lengthy hadith narrated by Bukhari (no. 1316) also relates another lesson: a man was considered by his companions to be among the people of Paradise because he fought the polytheists bravely. However, the Prophet Muhammad ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared the man to be among the people of Hell. This was proven true when the man was wounded and committed suicide. Regarding this incident, the Prophet Muhammad ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated:

" There are people who do good deeds that are in the sight of heaven, but they are in the sight of hell; there are people who do good deeds that are in the sight of hell, but they are in the sight of heaven. " (HR Bukhari)

3. Archimedes' law regarding the upward force of water also essentially teaches that the results we receive (reaction) will depend on the effort we put in (action). Whatever results we obtain in this world and the hereafter, they ultimately depend on our efforts to achieve them. There are investments we make during our lives in this world that will yield results in the hereafter, aren't there? One verse related to this is QS Az Zumar: 51;

" So they will be hit by the bad consequences of what they try. And the wrongdoers among them will be hit by the bad consequences of their efforts and they will not be able to escape. " (QS Az Zumar: 51)

So, true natural science can basically be studied by analogy with social science, and in the end, if the science is true, then it must be in line with His teachings, as concluded by Albert Einstein, " All religions, arts, and sciences are branches of the same tree. "

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala enable us to understand His beautiful knowledge. Amen . (gcp)
