(WEBS NEWS) The Entrepreneur Business Society Workshop of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (WEBS FEB UNAIR) once again successfully held the Youth Entrepreneur Camp (YEC) 2025, an annual program aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial spirit for new members of WEBS class of 2025. The event took place for two days, February 22-23, 2025, at Villa Dharma Ledug, Prigen, Pasuruan, with the theme “Breaking Chains, Building Future, Turning Challenges into Business Opportunities.”
The event began with an entrepreneurship briefing from WEBS 2024 Presidential Alumni, Bangun Jihad, who has extensive experience in the business world. They shared their experiences, provided insights into business challenges and opportunities, and developed an adaptive and innovative entrepreneurial mindset. One of the main sessions was the entrepreneurship challenge, where participants were tested on designing business ideas based on solutions to real-life problems, such as strategies for increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs. This challenge aimed to hone creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in creating sustainable businesses.
The highlight of the event was a sharing forum session with successful businesspeople, who shared their journeys from zero to success. This forum served as an inspiring platform for participants to understand the realities of the business world and the importance of mental resilience in facing challenges.
This activity successfully fostered the entrepreneurial spirit of new WEBS members. It is hoped that participants will be ready to contribute to the business world by applying the knowledge they gained during this activity.
This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 4 (Quality Education), which emphasizes the importance of quality education to produce a competent and innovative young generation in the field of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, this program also supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping participants with business skills that can create jobs, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by encouraging innovation in business development.
