(HIMA S1 MANAGEMENT NEWS) Surabaya, October 8, 2025 — Universitas Airlangga Undergraduate Management Student Association (HIMA) held Management Visit Vol. 2 as part of the program to develop students' managerial insight. This activity was held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with the aim of visiting the Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) Gresik and the East Java Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). This activity was attended by 57 Universitas AirlanggaUndergraduate Management students.
Management Visit Vol. 2 is designed as a form of contextual learning outside the classroom, enabling students to understand the application of management concepts directly in the industrial world and capital markets. Through a visit to JIIPE Gresik, participants gain an overview of integrated industrial estate management, including operational planning, infrastructure management, and sustainable industrial estate development strategies.
Next, a visit to the East Java Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) provided students with an understanding of the role of capital markets in the national economy, securities trading mechanisms, and the importance of financial literacy and investment. The series of activities included presentations, an introduction to the institution, and interactive discussion sessions between students and speakers. Through this combination of industry and financial institution visits, students are expected to connect management theories learned in lectures with real-world practice.
"We designed Management Visit Vol. 2 so that students not only understand management from a theoretical perspective, but also see its direct application in industrial areas and capital markets," said Luna Aulia Rahma as the Head of the Management Visit Vol. 2 Work Program, HIMA S1 Management Universitas Airlangga. "We hope this experience can broaden our horizons and improve students' readiness to face the professional world."
Management Visit Vol. 2 supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, Quality Education, through experiential learning, and SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, by enhancing students' understanding of the industrial world and financial system. Through this activity, students are expected to develop analytical thinking, understand the relationship between the industrial sector and the capital market, and enhance their professional career readiness.
In the future, HIMA S1 Management Universitas Airlangga is committed to continuing to present student development activities that are relevant to the needs of the business world and industry.
