In the spirit of commemorating Easter and actualizing the values of love in real terms, the Protestant Spiritual Service (PKP) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a community service activity entitled "Sharing Easter Love" on Sunday, April 27, 2025. This activity was held in Tebul Village, Bangkalan Regency, and was attended by more than 70 participants.
This program targets children and village communities with the goal of fostering social empathy, strengthening solidarity, and instilling character values and a spirit of togetherness. A series of educational and creative activities are presented in an engaging way to provide a fun and meaningful learning experience.
The event began with opening remarks, followed by an icebreaker , a drama performance emphasizing love, educational games, and a crafting involving the children's active participation. Finally, the committee held a group reflection session and distributed food as a token of their appreciation for the basic needs of children in the area.
“Sharing Easter Love” is not only a momentum to channel concern, but also a real contribution of FEB UNAIR in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 1 ( No Poverty ) through the provision of direct social assistance and support, as well as SDG 4 ( Quality Education ) through educational activities and creative training based on Christian values.
This activity is expected to be the first step in other sustainable community service programs targeting communities in areas with limited access. Furthermore, this program also fosters students' awareness to become active agents of social change, not only on campus but also in the broader community.
