HIMA IE UNAIR HOLDS BLOOD DONATION ACTION WITH UKM KSR-PMI AND UDD PMI BANGKALAN

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 – As a concrete form of social concern for others, the Department of Social, Community and Environment of the Economics Student Association (HIMA IE) Universitas Airlangga held the 2025 HIMA IE Blood Donation activity, in collaboration with the UKM KSR-PMI UNAIR and the Blood Donation Unit (UDD) of the PMI Bangkalan Regency.

This activity was held on October 15, 2025, at the Seopoyo Hall, 3rd Floor, FEB Building, Campus B, UNAIR, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. WIB. Open to the public, this humanitarian action was attended not only by Economics students, but also by the UNAIR academic community and the surrounding community who participated in this blood donation activity.

Enthusiasm was high with 96 participants registering, of which 71 were deemed eligible after undergoing a health screening by the Bangkalan PMI medical team. The activity resulted in the collection of 71 blood bags, which will be distributed to those in need through the Bangkalan Regency PMI Blood Donation Unit (UDD).

Social Collaboration and Humanitarian Action

Since morning, the committee and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) team had been preparing everything necessary to ensure the event ran smoothly. Once all preparations were complete, the blood drive commenced and proceeded smoothly, with a steady stream of enthusiastic participants.

According to Robaatun Rahmadani, as the Person in Charge of the 2025 HIMA IE Blood Donation activity, this activity is the first step in the social initiative of Economics students which is expected to become a positive tradition in the future.

"This is the first blood donation drive we've ever held. We hope it will inspire students to care more about others and become a regular event in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Gumilang Yusamsi, as the Person in Charge II, added that the success of this activity was the result of synergy from various parties.

"This event ran very smoothly thanks to the collaboration between the committee, the UNAIR PMI Student Activity Unit (UKM KSR-PMI), and the Bangkalan PMI Student Activity Unit (UDD). The participants' enthusiasm was extraordinary, and we are grateful that the entire process proceeded smoothly and without any problems," he explained.

Cultivating Caring and the Spirit of Sharing

In closing, the blood donation activity ended with a documentation session with the organizing committee, UKM KSR-PMI UNAIR, and UDD PMI Bangkalan Regency as a form of appreciation for the support and collaboration that had been established.

Through the 2025 HIMA IE Blood Donation activity, it is hoped that the spirit of sharing and social concern can continue to grow in the Universitas Airlanggastudent environment, as well as become an inspiration for holding other humanitarian activities in the future.
