Carrying the main theme "Empowering the Young Economist: Fostering Public Welfare and Sustainable Growth in Shaping a Better Future," this activity invites the younger generation to better understand the important role of economics in realizing public welfare and sustainable development.

Competitive and Educational Event

The 22nd OE series kicked off with an online preliminary round on Saturday, September 27, 2025, via www.oe-unair.id. Hundreds of teams from various regions competed to answer 100 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes. From this round, the top 25 teams advanced to the semifinals.

Entering the semifinals on Friday, October 17, 2025, the competitive atmosphere was increasingly felt within the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga. The final round, titled "The Golden Time," was held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, featuring two innovative economic games: Ecozzle and Solve Now or Later. Through an economic simulation-based game format, participants were tested on their strategic thinking skills and analytical skills regarding changes in foreign currency values.
The top five teams advanced to the grand final round of "Young Economist," where they presented their policy ideas and innovative solutions to current economic issues before a panel of judges. This round was the pinnacle of intellectual prowess and a showcase of the participants' communication and economic analysis skills.
