(Mosaic News)-On April 25, 2025, Mosaic Division of the Mosaic Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Airlangga University) in collaboration with the SKI SKI Faculty of Vocational (FV) Unair held a routine Muslimah study program titled "Work-Life Balance: could be successful in career and family at the same time?". This activity is a reflective space for Muslim women to discuss actual challenges in carrying out a balanced dual role in the domestic and professional domains.
Located at The Gade Creative Lounge FEB UNAIR 3rd floor, this event presented Umma Dhyna, alumni Universitas Airlangga, as the main resource. This study is open to the public and attended by Muslim women from various backgrounds, especially the Academic Civitas in the FEB Airlangga University and FV Airlangga University.
In delivering the material, Umma Dhyna explained that Islam did not look at the role of women limited to one dimension. Islam appreciates the contribution of women both in the realm of family and the world of work. He also criticized the secular-capitalistic system that made the material as the main indicator of happiness, and invited participants to return to sharia values that place balance and benefit as a measure of success. The state, according to him, also has an important role in ensuring the welfare of the people, including the fulfillment of women's rights.
This study is expected to be a source of motivation and inspiration for Muslim women to remain productive, carry out the mandate in a balanced manner, and continue to stand on the principles of Islam in every aspect of their lives.
The Muslim Routine Study Program is a form of Commitment to the Mosaic FEB UNAIR Division in supporting increasing access to quality education that is inclusive, contextual, and value -based. Through a thematic approach that is relevant to social reality, this activity provides non-formal learning space for all women to broaden insight, increase literacy of Islamic values in a context of contemporary, and encourage strengthening critical and reflective thinking capacity.
More than that, this activity helped strengthen the efforts of the institution in promoting gender equality through intellectual and spiritual women's empowerment. By discussing the dual role of women openly, this activity opens a healthy discussion space and builds collective awareness about the importance of supporting women in actualizing their potential in various domains, without having to lose their identity as Muslim women. This program is a concrete example of how higher education institutions can facilitate value -based social transformation through education, dialogue, and cross -unit collaboration.
