Upgrading & Basic Training 2025: Synergy of Kinship and Leadership

(KOPSI NEWS) — On April 26-27, 2025, the Student Cooperative Study Group (KOPSI) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a Basic and Upgrading with the theme “ Upgrade Now, Lead Tomorrow ” at Villa Antika, Pacet, Mojokerto. The activity, which was attended by all active members of KOPSI 2025, aims to prepare future leaders while strengthening internal solidarity. The Basic Training, supported by the Human Resources Development Division, focused on the material “Cooperatives in the Modern Era” presented by Muhammad Maskur Fauzi. The forum also included discussion and question and answer sessions.

Meanwhile, Upgrading , a work program of the Education and Training (EnT) Division, includes activities to strengthen relationships between members. Activities during Upgrading include bonding between each division, fun games between KOPSI members to build team cohesion, and not forgetting gatherings as a space for informal discussions on self-development. This activity is strategically aligned with SDGs point 4, namely, Quality Education , because it provides holistic non-formal education. Through Basic Training, members hone leadership soft skills and cooperative economic literacy, while Upgrading strengthens collaboration abilities and mental resilience. This combination of theory and practice supports the creation of a young generation that is ready to face global challenges.

In closing, this activity affirmed KOPSI FEB Unair's commitment to building a dynamic and sustainable learning ecosystem. The synergy between divisions reflects solid collaboration, while the familial atmosphere during the bonding session deepened the cooperative's values as a collective movement. It is hoped that this experience will serve as a catalyst for members to continue actualizing the spirit of " Upgrade Now , Lead Tomorrow " by making real contributions to the advancement of cooperatives at the campus and community levels.
