
(Hima Diei News) Surabaya, May 5, 2025 - Student Association of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), took part in the success of Research Outreach: Sovereign Halal Fund organized by the Sharia Economics Department of FEB UNAIR in collaboration with the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) of the Republic of Indonesia, on Monday, May 5, 2025. 3 FEB UNAIR.
Presenting expert speakers in the field of Islamic finance and national halal policy, this activity is divided into two discussion sessions. The first session presented Dr. H. Indra Gunawan, SE., SIP., MSc. (BPKH Implementing Agency Members) and Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE., MA. (Professor Feb Unair, as well as the Coordinator of the S3 Islamic Economic Study Program FEB Unair), while the second session was filled by Sulistya Rusgianto, SE., Mif., Ph.D. (Secretary of the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR) and Ina Ammania, S.Pd. (Member of the Indonesian Parliament Commission VIII). Discussion is guided interactively by moderator Dr. Dina Fitrisia Septiarini, SE., MM., AK.
Eliminating the urgency of halal fund management by state institutions, this forum aims to expand student academic horizons, encourage research collaboration between universities and public fund management institutions, as well as exploring the strategic contributions of S3 students in supporting national and research -based national sharia financial policies.
The activity which took place from 13.30 to 17.00 WIB was attended by postgraduate students, lecturers, and external partners. The high participation and enthusiasm of participants reflects the amount of attention to the issues of managing halal funds and the economic sovereignty of the people.
Through active participation in this activity, Hima S3 Islamic economics helped strengthen the role of students as intellectual partners in the policy making process. Support for academic forums such as research outreach is a reflection of a commitment to bridge the knowledge, policies and interests of the people in realizing inclusive and sustainable Islamic financial governance.
