(HIMA DIA NEWS) Vietnam, Thursday, September 25, 2025 – The Doctoral Program in Accounting (PDIA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) has once again demonstrated its contribution to the international arena. This time, five PDIA students actively participated in the 9th International Conference on Finance and Economics (ICFE) 2025, which carried the theme "Innovating Business Analytics for a Sustainable Future." The prestigious conference was held on September 23–25, 2025, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
ICFE 2025 is a collaboration between TDTU and several leading universities worldwide, including Tomas Bata University and the Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), the University of the West of England (UK), and the ICAEW (UK).
The event attracted more than 300 international participants from various countries and served as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas in management, finance, accounting, and economics.
PDIA UNAIR contributed by sending five representatives: Sekar Akrom Faradiza, Bunga Maharani, and Saiful Anwar, who participated online, and Sendy Dwi Haryanto and Andy Setiabudi, who attended in person in Vietnam. Not only were they present as participants, but they also served as presenters, presenting high-quality research results in a parallel discussion session held on September 23, 2025.
The conference featured a variety of interesting topics, including green transformation, corporate governance, and the use of data analytics in the digital economy. Through their research, PDIA UNAIR students have made significant contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Addressing Climate Change).
The active participation of five PDIA UNAIR students in ICFE 2025 demonstrates Universitas Airlangga commitment, particularly the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR, to promoting the development of science with a global impact and a focus on sustainability. Through international academic forums like this, doctoral students not only hone their research and scientific presentation skills but also expand their collaborative networks and strengthen FEB UNAIR's position as a world-class higher education institution that significantly contributes to sustainable development.
