Build a sturdy business foundation from an early age
On the first day, participants were equipped with fundamental knowledge about the preparation of a business plan by Bey Fitri Salsabila, an economics student who was also known as an entrepreneurial mentor and practitioner. He described the ideal structure of business proposals ranging from backgrounds, market analysis, operational strategies, to medium -term financial planning.
" business plan is not only neat in a format, but is also able to answer market challenges concretely. Every part must strengthen each other, from vision and mission to projections of cash flows," explained Bey.
Foster ideas from real problems
The next session invited participants to root cause analysis as a method of exploring real problems around the campus environment. Through the "Tree Idea" approach, students are encouraged to develop business solutions that are relevant to the needs of the community.
"Business ideas do not have to be complicated. The most important thing is its relevance and potential impact on surrounding life," added Bey.
Business Model Canvas: Visualization of Strategy in One Sheet
Participants were also introduced to the use of Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a tool in designing effective business models. BMC is considered very helpful because it simplifies important business elements-such as value propositions , customer segments, and income flow-in one visual sheet.
Intensive Consultation and Final Presentation
On the second day, the participants were divided into three members of the team and attended an intensive consultation session with the mentor. The team improves business design through in -depth discussions that include SWOT, pestle, STP (segmentation, target, positioning) analysis, and market potential calculations (TAM, SAM, SOM). The climax, four teams selected presented business plan in front of other participants and get direct input from the facilitator.
SDGs Integration in Student Business Plan
Interestingly, this time E-Class also emphasized the importance of aligning business ideas with the aim of sustainable development ( Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs ), especially SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) and SDG 4 (quality education). With this approach, students are encouraged to not only focus on profitability, but also on social and environmental sustainability.
The e-class program is expected to produce a minimum of four business plans that are feasible to be developed in the next stage. Documentation and feedback of participants will be used as evaluation material and basis for the development of advanced programs by the Department of Entrepreneurship Hima Ie Unair.
