(KSPM News) Bachelor of Capital Market (BCM) is one of the work programs of the Strategy of the Capital Market Study Group (KSPM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This activity is intended for internal members of KSPM FEB Unair as a form of introduction to the capital market. BCM is held 7 times every Wednesday from February 12 to April 26, 2025 in Classroom 3.28 FEB Unair. The BCM material itself is delivered by the Heads of Divisions of Research and Development and Lecturers. The materials discussed are also diverse:
- Introduction to the Financial Industry and Capital Market Certification
- Business Framework Analysis
- Fundamental Analysis
- Equity Analysis and Valuation, divided into 2 meetings
- Technical Analysis and Practice
At one of its meetings, KSPM invited Mr. Tubagus Algan Roiston, SA, MA, a lecturer from the Accounting Department who is also active in the capital markets, to speak at BCM. He presented the topic of valuation, and provided template to assist KSPM members in conducting stock analysis.
After receiving the material, the next session was a question and answer session and a quiz. During the Q&A session, KSPM members participating in the BCM actively engaged in discussions with the presenters. The quiz was then completed through the Kahoot , where all participants could interact in real time . The top three finishers on the quiz received prizes from the Strategy Division.
After completing the material, participants were divided into 12 groups and asked to prepare an Equity Paper . The purpose of preparing the Equity Paper was to assess participants' understanding of the material from the previous weeks. Each group selected one issuer to analyze, from business description to technical analysis . The three groups with Equity Papers would receive certificates and prizes, which were awarded during the Upgrading Competition.
Overall, the BCM program has had a significant impact on providing quality capital market education. It provides in-depth understanding through diverse materials. Participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also engage in practical activities that support their learning.
