WELCOME VISIT MAN 1 KOTA KEDIRI TO THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA

(BEM NEWS) Surabaya, Monday, October 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) once again received an inspiring visit from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kediri City through a Welcome Visit activity held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Soepoyo Hall. This activity served as a forum for sharing knowledge and experience between the world of secondary education and higher education, while also fostering learning motivation and introducing the academic environment of FEB UNAIR more closely.

The Welcome Visit was attended by 96 students from MAN 1 Kediri City, accompanied by their supervising teachers. The enthusiastic atmosphere was evident from the beginning of the event, which began with a speech from Juliana Fitrijah, S.Pd., the Advisor of the Student Council of MAN 1 Kediri City. In her remarks, she expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome from the faculty and emphasized the importance of educational activities like this in fostering enthusiasm for continuing studies at the higher education level.

The event then continued with remarks and a presentation of the faculty profile by Ida Wijayanti, SEI., M.SEI., who was present as a representative of the Staff of the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR. In her presentation, she introduced the history, organizational structure, vision and mission of the faculty, as well as various academic achievements and international collaborations that have been achieved by FEB UNAIR. She also provided motivation to students to prepare themselves for the dynamic, challenging, and opportunity-filled world of college.

The next session was delivered by Sulistya Rusgianto, SE., MIF., Coordinator of the Islamic Economics Undergraduate Program. In his presentation, he explained the concept of an Islamic-based economy and its role in achieving social justice and economic balance. He also highlighted the significant potential for young people to pursue careers in the rapidly growing Islamic finance industry.

The next topic was delivered by Nadia Anridho, S.Ak., M.BA., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program. She explained the profile and advantages of the Accounting Study Program at FEB UNAIR, as well as its relevance to the needs of the modern professional world. Through her international study and research experiences, she inspired students to think globally and prepare themselves to become professional accountants with integrity.

The event was interactive and lively, highlighted by a question-and-answer session enthusiastically participated by the participants. Through this visit, the students not only gained new insights into the study programs at FEB UNAIR but also gained motivation and a real-life glimpse into academic life at the university.

This Welcome Visit is expected to inspire students of MAN 1 Kota Kediri to face the future with optimism and determination to pursue higher education. FEB UNAIR is committed to remaining an educational partner for schools across Indonesia in developing a generation of intelligent, ethical, and globally competitive young people.
