Feb Unair Greet Cancer Fighters Through the First Pre-Event
Surabaya, June 10, 2025-The warm and loving atmosphere enveloped the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (YKI) of the East Java Branch when the Department of Community Service BEM FEB Universitas Airlangga held a Pre-Event 1 "We Care 2025" titled Light Up Their World: A Journey of Courage and Hope . This activity was opening a series of events we care 2025 which focused on humanitarian issues and real support for cancer survivors.
Held on Tuesday afternoon, this activity was designed with an interactive and touching approach. Various activities such as Meronce together, sharing hopes through the "Titian Light" session, until light entertainment is carried out to invite the survivors to express their enthusiasm and creativity. The presence of FEB Airlangga students became a concrete manifestation of solidarity as well as efforts to build emotional closeness with cancer fighters.
The YKI management representative expressed his appreciation for the initiatives presented by FEB Unair students. "The presence of students' younger siblings became an injection of extraordinary enthusiasm for us. Not only material assistance, but also moral support that is very meaningful," he said.
A total of 10 cancer survivors along with the assistants also attended and were involved in this activity. FEB UNAIR also submitted a certificate of awards and symbolic gifts as a form of respect and support for these life fighters.
This activity is not only a tangible form of community service, but also a means of internalizing human values, solidarity, and empathy for students. In line with the purpose of sustainable development: Good Health and Well-Being , this program is expected to be able to provide new hope for children who are struggling with cancer, as well as strengthening the synergy between campuses and the community.
With a spirit that continues to light up, BEM FEB UNAIR is committed to continuing to present activities that have a positive impact on the community. Because humanity is not just an issue, but a call of heart.
