(BEM NEWS) Pengprof Talkshow (Profshow) is a work program of the Professional Development Department of BEM FEB UNAIR, designed as a concrete implementation to prepare students for the post-campus world. In its inaugural edition, Profshow Vol. 1 raised a highly relevant theme: artificial intelligence (AI).
In this increasingly modern and digital era, artificial intelligence has become an integral part of everyday life. In fact, some jobs are now starting to be replaced by AI-based systems. Recognizing the importance of a deep understanding of this technology, Profshow Vol. 1 is here to provide insight into what AI is, how to utilize it as a discussion partner, and how to optimally utilize it in your professional life.
This activity was held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, via the Zoom platform and broadcast live via the official Instagram account @bemfebunair, so that it could be accessed more widely by students, especially within the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga.
The event began with an introduction from the moderator, emphasizing the urgency of understanding AI in the workplace. Profshow Vol. 1 featured Bryant Ritchie, SA, a young practitioner active in the field of digital technology development, as the main speaker. In the talk show session, Bryant reviewed the development of AI and its impact on the workplace in depth, while also providing critical insights into potential emerging threats and challenges. He also shared strategies and opportunities that young people can leverage to adapt and excel in the era of digital transformation.
FEB UNAIR students enthusiastically participated in this activity, as evidenced by the numerous responses and questions raised throughout the session. Through Profshow Vol. 1, participants are expected to not only understand the challenges of AI but also equip themselves with sufficient knowledge to become superior, adaptive, and relevant talents amidst rapid technological developments.
This activity also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth . Profshow Vol. 1 is a concrete effort to create a young generation that is work-ready, productive, and able to contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
