(BEM News) May 19, 2025 - Department of Community Service, Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) successfully held a blood donor activity titled "Be a Hero, Be a Donor" on Monday, May 19, 2025. This activity was held at the Soepoyo Hall, FEB Airlangga Building, and open for all academics of Universitas Airlangga and general community.

This event was held thanks to the cooperation with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Surabaya City, which also provided a complete medical team and supporting equipment in order to ensure the smoothness and safety of the blood donor process.

More than 42 blood bags were successfully collected in this activity. Surabaya City PMI expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the participants, and emphasized that every drop of blood donated was very meaningful for those in need. This activity is a clear proof of the contribution of the Universitas Airlangga academics in supporting the health and welfare of the wider community.

Not only a form of humanitarian action, this blood donor activity also supports the achievement of the 3rd point of sustainable development goals (sustainable development goals), namely Good Health and Well-Being. In addition to contributing to the availability of blood for patients, this activity helped encourage a healthy lifestyle, strengthen social solidarity, and strengthen the synergy between the campus and the community.

Through this initiative, FEB Universitas Airlangga emphasized its commitment to continue to play an active role in providing sustainable health services while fostering a spirit of social care in the campus environment.
