(BEM NEWS) Surabaya, Thursday, September 18, 2025 – The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) once again held the Alumni Visit 2.0 event on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Soepoyo Hall of FEB UNAIR. This event was enthusiastically attended by active students from various study programs, especially the classes of 2022 to 2025. The presence of hundreds of students demonstrated the high interest in learning directly from the experiences of alumni who have been active in the professional world.
The event featured two inspiring speakers: Ferdian Kurniawan, SM, a 2011 Management alumnus and CEO of Brandstoria, and Caroline Angelina, S.Ak., a 2021 Accounting alumnus who now works as a Tax Consultant. Both shared their academic journeys, career challenges, and strategies for capitalizing on opportunities during college to prepare for the future.
In her presentation, Caroline emphasized the importance of FEB UNAIR students maximizing the various privileges available during their studies. She encouraged students to focus not only on academic achievement but also on honing soft skills, expanding their network, and developing a growth mindset from an early age. She believes this is crucial for FEB UNAIR graduates to compete with and even surpass students from other universities.
Meanwhile, Ferdian delivered a powerful message about the courage to face failure and the importance of having a competitive edge. As CEO, he emphasized that UNAIR students must dare to push their limits, not only mastering theory but also excelling in practical work, problem-solving skills, and creativity. "Don't be afraid to fail, because failure is part of the learning process. Be agile and show that UNAIR students have advantages that others don't," he advised.
Through this activity, FEB UNAIR hopes to strengthen the relationship between alumni and current students, while also providing real-world insights into the world of work. Besides providing inspiration, this event also opens up networking and collaboration opportunities that can support students' preparation in pursuing their dream careers.
