
(BEM News) Surabaya, 29 June 2025 - Department of Community Service BEM Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) again presents an inspirational program titled Abdi Vol. 2: Expression (Emotional Education and Feelings Together with Abdi Room) in the Surabaya Achievement Park. This activity is a form of commitment in assisting the growth and development of marginal children through a creative and fun emotional education approach.
In collaboration with the Mandiri Nurani Foundation-a social institution that focuses on the assistance of children from vulnerable groups-ABDI Room Vol. 2 targeting children in grades 1 to 3 elementary school. This program is designed to help them recognize and express basic emotions in a healthy manner through various interactive and communicative activities.
Children are invited to recognize a variety of emotions through facial expression games, mentioning emotional names, to playing roles. One of the most memorable moments is a hand puppet show session that enlivens educative and expressive educational messages. The story that was delivered succeeded in capturing the attention of the participants and even attracted the interest of the park visitors who were listening from a distance. Park achievement immediately turned into a warm and inclusive open study room.
The enthusiasm of the participants was felt throughout the activity. They are actively interacting, full of curiosity, and dare to share each other's stories. The role of volunteers and facilitators is very important in creating a comfortable, supportive, and child -friendly atmosphere.
Through this program, BEM FEB Unair also contributes to efforts to bring holistic and empowered education. Emotional education from an early age becomes an important foundation in shaping the social skills and psychological well -being of children. Not only focusing on academic aspects, this activity also prioritizes the value of empathy, meaningfulness, and alignments in vulnerable communities.
Abdi Room Vol. 2 again proves that students have a strategic role as agents of change. By presenting an educational space that is grounded and impact, BEM FEB Unair continues to strengthen its contribution in supporting the growth and development of young people who are emotionally healthy and ready to face the future.
