(AcSES NEWS) SURABAYA, May 31, 2025 – UKMF Penalaran AcSES Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) through the HRD Division in collaboration with KSEI SEDIC Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA) held an activity entitled “NGODE (Chatting with HRD)”, also known as AESTHEDIC, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Mindrowo Hall FEB UNAIR. This activity combines the concept of a seminar and beauty class, which took place from 08.00 to 15.00 WIB, with the main objective of providing education about self-care, self-development, and beauty ethics.
With the theme "Beauty with Integrity as We Embrace Ethical Elegance," this activity responds to the growing awareness among students—especially women—of the importance of holistic self-care, encompassing physical, mental, and social aspects. This program provides a platform that not only enhances external beauty but also builds self-confidence, character, and strong personal ethics.
In her remarks, the organizing committee chair, Safira Khiyarotun Nisa, expressed her hope that NGODE would be a safe and productive space for students to explore their potential. "We want this activity to not only enhance their appearance but also build self-confidence and personal ethics," she said.
The event included an inspiring talk show with Tazkiyya Zuyyin N., the 2023 East Java Cultural Ambassador, a Q&A session, and a practical beauty class led by beauty brand partners. More than 30 participants from UNAIR and UINSA actively participated throughout the event, creating an interactive and lively atmosphere. As a token of appreciation, the "Best Makeup" award was given to the participant with the most creative look at the final session.
NGODE activities are also a form of synergy between the two higher education institutions, reflecting the implementation of SDGs number 3 (Healthy and Prosperous Life) through self-care and mental health education, SDG number 5 (Gender Equality) by encouraging women's empowerment in developing their potential, and SDG number 17 (Partnerships to Achieve Goals) through collaboration between educational institutions as a model of student empowerment.
The event concluded with a documentation session with all participants and committee members, as well as the presentation of plaques as a symbol of collaboration and appreciation. It is hoped that NGODE activities will become an annual program that continues to contribute to strengthening soft skills, personal branding, and student well-being on an ongoing basis.
