Building social empathy through social responsibility acces: UKMF Reasoning ACSES FEB UNAIR presents happiness in the month of Ramadan

(Access News) Social concern is one of the important pillars in creating an inclusive and fair society. In the spirit of Ramadhan which is full of blessings, UKMF Reasoning ACSES, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) held a social activity titled ACSES Social Responsibility on Thursday, March 22, 2025 at the Muhammadiyah Gresikan Orphanage in Surabaya.

This activity aims to foster empathy, strengthen friendship, and ease the burden on orphanage children by giving donations and presenting fun interactive activities. A series of events are held with full warmth, ranging from Islamic studies, educational games, to breaking the fast together.

The series of activities was opened with a remarks from the Chairperson of the Hadiyan Izzatul Haq, followed by the General Chairperson of ACSES Muhammad Taufiq Hidayat, as well as representatives from the orphanage. The event continued with an Islamic study session which raised the importance of sharing in life, delivered in a light atmosphere but full of meaning.

One of the most anticipated parts is the games and trees sessions, where the orphans write their goals and hopes going forward. This activity is not only a means of entertainment, but also encourages the spirit and motivation for them to continue to dream.

In addition, a donation handover was also carried out worth Rp2,000,000 from the committee to the board of the orphanage as a form of real concern. The activity was closed by opening together and the distribution of consumption that adds to the warmth of the atmosphere.

"Through this activity, we hope to foster gratitude among students while providing direct benefits to the community," said Hadiyan as the Chief Executive.

This activity is a tangible form of accesses to the achievement of SDG 1 (without poverty) and SDG 2 (without hunger), through the collection and distribution of donations to meet the basic needs of the orphans. In addition, warm interactions, educational games, and Islamic studies that are held also support SDG 3 (Health and Welfare) by creating space for happiness and emotional support for children.

The success of this activity is also shown through the achievement of a donation target of Rp2,000,000 which is fully distributed for the needs of activities. The entire series of events was also published through ACSES's official social media, as a form of transparency as well as inspiration for other students.

ACSES Social Responsibility is a tangible manifestation of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in community service. This activity is not only a means of sharing happiness in the holy month, but also strengthens human values ​​and solidarity among the campus young generation.
