On April 18 and 23, 2024, WEBS UNAIR held an Internal Public Speaking Class (PSCI) with the theme "Sharpening Impromptu Speaking Skills: Spontaneous and Responsive Speaking Skills in the Workplace." PSCI itself is an internal activity of WEBS UNAIR in the form of public speaking training. PSCI consists of two sessions, namely a material session and a practice session where each participant will practice public speaking which will be assessed by a jury as a form of benchmark for participants' understanding of the material that has been presented. The theme that PSCI raised this year is aimed at participants to be able to practice their spontaneous speaking skills effectively and increase their confidence in front of interlocutors, especially in the work environment.

We hope that PSCI activities can support SDGs point 4, where public speaking training can improve students' communication skills and knowledge and professionalism in various fields. Through this activity, we also hope to support SDG point 8, where public speaking skills can increase career and entrepreneurial opportunities by strengthening participants' ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders. Therefore, it is hoped that PSCI 2024 can facilitate UNAIR WEBS members to be more effective in conveying ideas and improving their quality through spontaneous and responsive speaking skills in the future work environment.
