(HIMA S1 AK NEWS) The Accounting Student Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga once again held the international program University Visit to Malaysia 2025, which took place on November 16–22, 2025, at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Segamat Campus, Malaysia. This activity is part of an effort to broaden students' global insights, strengthen cross-border academic collaboration, and encourage the development of academic, social, and cultural competencies in an international context.
The program was attended by 40 participants, consisting of 29 undergraduate students and 11 master's students. The diversity of the participants' academic backgrounds added value, creating dynamic discussions and a comprehensive exchange of perspectives throughout the series of activities.
During the University Visit, participants participated in various academic activities, including learning with UiTM Segamat lecturers through lectures, interactive discussions, and presentations. These activities provided students with the opportunity to understand the learning approaches, curriculum, and academic practices implemented at UiTM.
In addition, students participate in case studies that foster critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as community service programs in the form of international Community Service Programs (KKN). Through these community service activities, students can apply their knowledge directly to local communities while broadening their understanding of social and cultural conditions in international settings.
In addition to academic and community service activities, the program also incorporates various cultural activities aimed at strengthening student relationships and introducing the richness of Indonesian and Malaysian culture. This cultural exchange serves as a crucial tool for fostering mutual respect, tolerance, and cross-cultural understanding, as part of developing a global mindset among students.
Overall, the University Visit to Malaysia – UiTM Segamat 2025 made a positive contribution to the development of students' global competencies and supported the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for Achieving the Goals).
Through this international collaboration, it is hoped that a sustainable relationship will be created between Universitas Airlangga and UiTM Segamat in supporting inclusive, collaborative, and globally competitive education.
