The Announcer Competition is a talent show for announcers, showcasing their talents or simply wanting to test their abilities in the world of broadcasting. This year's Announcer Competition attracted participants from various universities in East Java, with dozens of students participating in each phase of the competition.

The participants have gathered since 07.00 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . After that at 07.00 – 07.30 participants registered and were advised to prepare themselves for the competition. The Announcer is divided into 2 sessions. The first session is the preliminary round where previously participants were told to make 3 scripts or manuscripts covering: lifestyle, showbiz and health. In this first session, participants showed their abilities and would be filtered into the top 10. In the second or final session, participants were asked to make a script on the spot with a theme determined by the jury with a time of 30 minutes, after the time to make the script was over, the finalists broadcast the script that had been made, finally the announcement of the winner by the jury .

The competition's judging criteria include scripts, broadcasting attitude, and the ability to process and package ideas. Prizes include cash, certificates, and trophies.

After participating in this event, participants are expected to not only make new friends but also gain valuable broadcasting knowledge from all the other Announcer Competition . Hopefully, in the future, participants can perform even better in future competitions and beyond. Most importantly, by participating in this competition, all participants are expected to share their experiences with their friends about how exciting the world of radio can be.
