Sharing with MOSAIC FEB UNAIR 2018

Mosaic (Moslem Student Association of Economic & Business Faculty) just held a Sharing with Mosaic (BBM) activity on Sunday (2/9). Located at the Rangkah Tomb Learning Park, Kapas Krampung, Mosaic wanted to share happiness and education with the children there. This activity is one of MOSAIC's work programs (proker) which is routinely held every year. This time MOSAIC collaborated with the Natha Aruna community that cares for street and marginalized children. The Rangkah Tomb Learning Park was the chosen location. This is because the learning park has been under the guidance of the Natha Aruna community for a long time.

The activity emphasized the educational aspect, given that children there haven't received much attention regarding education. Many children become workers at an early age. Besides attending school, they also help their parents earn a living, for example, by selling newspapers on the street or around campus.

To capture the children's enthusiasm, MOSAIC invited a storyteller known as Kak Awan. Sure enough, as the story began, the children watched intently. The storyteller's expressive gestures and facial expressions successfully restored the cheerful atmosphere throughout Kak Awan's story.

Not only that, they also followed the story well. This was evident when the committee asked several questions after the storyteller finished. Nearly all the children raised their hands, scrambling to answer. Apparently, they were able to answer all the questions correctly.

The event continued with word games. The occasional commotion made it difficult for the committee to restore order. However, the committee expressed their delight at the children's enthusiastic response throughout the event.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and a group photo. The committee also awarded additional prizes to children who correctly answered questions and named the Pancasila principles.
