Karimah Akbar is an annual Mosaic Muslim agenda in the form of a competition specifically for Muslim women posted on social media, namely Instagram. There is one sub-competition, namely a competition to create Muslim women's content in the form of attractive Instagram reels. This agenda is carried out with the aim of increasing Muslim women's creativity and developing da'wah in society digitally. For the first part of the Muslimah Diary, it was held on October 21 - November 8, 2024.
The target participants of this Muslimah Diary activity are Muslim women throughout Indonesia, especially Muslim women from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . The work on Instagram feed content and video podcasts by participants in their respective places and collected through the participants' Instagram by tagging the @mosaicfebunair and @kemuslimahanmosaic accounts. Judging was conducted by voting with the assessment aspects being 40% creativity, 30% Content, 30% Theme Suitability. There were three winners from each competition field, the winners were announced via posts on the @kemuslimahanmosaic Instagram account and received attractive rewards from the committee. The Kemuslimahan Mosaic Division through the Karimah Akbar activity wants to show that women can develop creativity and spread Islamic da'wah. This activity supports SDGs Goal 4: Quality Education, by providing non-formal education through platforms such as Instagram. By creating Instagram reels, Muslim women can share da'wah widely, expand creativity, and provide experiences that cannot be obtained from formal education. The use of Instagram also facilitates access to information for all Muslim women, encourages lifelong learning, and increases confidence in expressing ideas and opinions.
