The Student Cooperative of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) will hold an Intermediate Education and Training (Diklat) for Student Cooperatives (KOPMA) on Sunday, July 28, 2024. The event, which will be held online through the Zoom Meeting platform, carries the theme "Developing a Startup Mindset in Student Cooperatives to Encourage Entrepreneurship Spirit in Business Planning". This activity is intended for the administrators and members of KOPMA FEB UNAIR 2024, with the main objective of educating participants about the concept and practice of cooperatives, as well as building their thinking skills in problem solving and decision making.
The Intermediate Training Program of KOPMA FEB UNAIR aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) number 4, namely "Quality Education." This program not only provides quality education in the form of hard skills related to cooperatives and entrepreneurship but also develops participants' soft skills, particularly in terms of discussion skills. This combination is expected to help KOPMA FEB UNAIR administrators and members prepare for their future in the business world and organizations.
The event agenda will begin with a pre-test to measure participants' initial understanding. Next, there will be two main sessions of material delivery by two speakers, namely I Wayan Indra Adhi Suputra, S.Kom., CEO of DJOIN (a digital financial ecosystem empowerment startup for grassroots communities through cooperatives) and Shochrul Rohmatul Ajija, SE, M.Ec., Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga. The first session will discuss "Cooperative Management", while the second session will focus on the main theme of the event, namely "Developing a Startup Mindset in Student Cooperatives to Encourage Entrepreneurship Spirit in Business Planning". Each session will be followed by an interactive question and answer session, providing an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding.
This DIKMEN activity will discuss the main characteristics of a start-up mindset, such as agility, innovation, and customer focus, and how these principles can be applied in the management and operation of student cooperatives. After the presentation of the material, there will be a certificate award session to the speakers as a form of appreciation. To lighten the atmosphere, the committee has also prepared an icebreaker session at the end of the event. In closing, participants will take a post-test to evaluate their understanding of the material that has been presented. In addition, participants will also be asked to fill in an attendance list. The event will conclude with a photo session with all administrators and members of KOPMA FEB UNAIR, marking the end of the Intermediate Training which is expected to provide valuable insights and knowledge for effective and sustainable cooperative management in the future.
