The Cooperative Study Group (KOPSI) Universitas Airlangga is a student organization engaged in the development of collective entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and character based on cooperative principles. KOPSI is committed to organizing various educational and applied activities that can broaden horizons and shape a cooperative mentality among students.
In supporting this mission, KOPSI Universitas Airlangga consistently integrates theoretical approaches obtained through literature reviews and discussion forums with practical approaches through direct observation of existing cooperative activities. One concrete form of implementation of this approach is the organization of field visits to active cooperatives relevant to the fields of study and interests of KOPSI members. The "Cooperative Visit I" activity is a work program of the Public Relations (HUMAS) division.
The schedule of the "Cooperative Visit I" activities began with the implementation of a field study by Universitas Airlangga to the Setia Bhakti Wanita Consumer Cooperative (SBW) on May 23, 2025. The activities carried out during this cooperative visit will focus on deepening the practice of professional cooperative management through a presentation session by the management of the Setia Bhakti Wanita Consumer Cooperative (SBW). In addition, there is a discussion session that discusses various important aspects in cooperative management such as AD/ART, organizational structure, revitalization, and management of member savings.
The "Cooperative Visit I" activity is in line with the achievement of the fifth point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Gender Equality, because during the visit we can learn the role of cooperatives in increasing women's economic participation, providing access to productive resources, and supporting equal rights in the economic sector. And this activity is also in line with point 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth, because in this visit we can discuss how cooperatives can increase the productivity of MSMEs, create decent jobs, and strengthen the local economy through the principle of mutual cooperation.
