The struggle to improve cooperatives in Indonesia is not over yet, as we are still facing the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This revolution will bring significant changes to our digital lifestyle. Currently, many cooperatives remain inactive. This is due to a lack of government support or attention to developing cooperatives towards greater progress.

Competition is becoming increasingly fierce, so there's no excuse for cooperatives not to innovate, especially given their importance as a pillar of the national economy. With the millennial generation's enthusiasm for collaboration in innovation, cooperative development will be able to address the challenges of all existing problems. Therefore, the role of the millennial generation is crucial in realizing cooperatives in Indonesia as leading innovations, thereby helping to improve the current economic situation. Cooperatives, as a people's economic movement and as a business entity based on the principles of family and economic democracy, are highly appropriate when collaborated with the millennial generation as a platform to strengthen themselves in facing new challenges in the era of globalization. Therefore, the role of youth needs to be involved in strengthening efforts based on the cooperative spirit to synergize to accelerate the Indonesian economy.

To that end, we, the Student Cooperative of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga are holding the 2022 Kopma FEB Basic Education and Training event with the theme "Cooperatives as a Platform for Student Business Development." This event is one of the activities hoped to increase student interest in cooperatives and enhance their knowledge in cooperative economics.
