The Islamic Economics Doctoral Student Association (HIMA S3 IEI) Universitas Airlangga hosts biweekly online and offline discussion programs. These programs aim to provide opportunities for students and academics to broaden their knowledge of Islamic economics and foster interactive discussions. Each session focuses on four main topics:
1. Expert Talk: This session features expert speakers from various fields related to Islamic economics. Participants will gain insights from both academic and practitioner perspectives on current issues and innovations in Islamic economics. This is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of theory and practice from experienced experts.
2. Mini Colloquium: A mini colloquium is a small-scale academic forum where specific topics are discussed in greater depth. These discussions allow participants to test ideas, discuss the latest research, and receive direct feedback from fellow academics.
3. Journal Review: In this session, participants will discuss and review recent articles or scientific journals related to Islamic economics. This activity is useful for improving participants' academic literacy and increasing their understanding of research trends in this field. Participants will also learn how to understand the structure and content of a good journal and how to publish scientific papers.
4. Data Analysis: In this session, participants will learn data analysis techniques, particularly those relevant to Islamic economics research. The speakers will guide participants in the use of specific software or methods to process and analyze data, helping them develop more comprehensive research skills.
The implementation mechanism is as follows:
1. Online Discussion: This discussion is held virtually through the Zoom platform. Each participant will receive a link to join a week before the event begins. In the online session, participants can follow the material, listen to the speaker's presentation, and participate in a question and answer session.
2. Offline Discussion: A face-to-face discussion that takes place at a predetermined location. This provides an opportunity for participants to interact more directly with the speaker and other participants.
This activity is open to all students, academics, and practitioners who are interested in deepening their insight into Islamic economics. Registration information and the complete schedule of activities will be announced through the official website and communication channels of HIMA S3 IEI Universitas Airlangga .
