Student Association of the Islamic Economics Doctoral Program (HIMA S3 IEI) Universitas Airlangga held a two -weekly and offline discussion program. This program aims to provide opportunities for students and academics to expand their knowledge in the field of Islamic economics and establish interactive discussions. There are four main materials that are the focus in each session, namely:
1. Expert Talk: This session presents expert speakers from various fields related to Islamic economics. Participants will get insight from the perspective of academics and practitioners about the latest issues and innovations in Islamic economics. This is an opportunity to understand more in the theory and practice of experienced experts.
2. Mini colocium: Mini Kolokium is a small-scale academic forum where special topics are discussed more deeply. This discussion allows participants to test ideas, discuss the latest research, and get direct feedback from academic colleagues.
3. Journal Surgery: In this session, participants will discuss and study the latest scientific articles or journals related to Islamic economics. This activity is useful for increasing the participant's academic literacy and increasing understanding of research trends in this field. Participants will also learn how to understand the structure and content of good journals and how to publish scientific papers.
4. Data Analysis: In this session, participants will study data analysis techniques, especially those relevant to Islamic economic research. The resource person will guide participants in the use of certain software or methods to process and analyze data, assisting them in the development of more comprehensive research skills.
The implementation mechanism is as follows:
1. Online Discussion: This discussion is carried out virtually through the zoom platform. Each participant will get a link to join a week before the event starts. In an online session, participants can follow the material, listen to the interviewees, and participate in the question and answer session.
2. Offline discussion: face -to -face discussion that takes place in a specified location. This provides an opportunity for participants to interact more directly with the speakers and other participants.
This activity is open to all students, academics, and practitioners who are interested in deepening insight in Islamic economics.
