Art is something that reflects beauty and human expression. It encompasses everything related to art, or anything that creates an inner experience, beautifully presented, that captures attention and creates a unique spiritual experience for those who enjoy it. In the 21st century, the arts have begun to develop rapidly. Numerous artistic styles exist throughout the world, ranging from traditional art to music and even modern art.

As more and more people are interested in the arts, the Undergraduate Management Student Association (HIMA) Universitas Airlangga saw this as an opportunity and held a competition called "Management Highlight," also known as "M-Light." The goal of this event is to provide a platform for universitas airlangga students to develop their creativity, express themselves, and channel their hobbies.

Each year, Management Highlight highlights a different artistic field. This year, M-Light chose photography as one of its artistic fields. The reason for this is that Indonesia is still dealing with the pandemic. The chosen field is expected to reach a wide audience, while also minimizing crowds and allowing for independent participation.

This year, Management Highlight has chosen the theme “Stuck at Home” with the tagline “Capture Your Light with M-Light.” The theme was inspired by the ongoing pandemic, which has forced many people to spend their daily activities indoors. Registration will open from November 1, 2021, to November 10, 2020. Photo submissions will begin from November 15 to November 19, followed by an assessment from November 20 to November 23. The winner will be announced on November 25, 2021, on Management Highlight’s Instagram account, @mlight_2021.
