In 2021, HIMA Management from the Public Relations department will hold an event for students of the Bachelor of Management study program Universitas Airlangga which is usually called "Meet Up Alumni". This event will invite alumni who have a lot of experience and want to share their successful experiences with students who are currently studying his studies at Universitas Airlangga. This event will take place on Friday, 18 June 2021 at 14.00 by inviting 2 alumni from the Management study program, Universitas Airlangga. This event will be held virtually via zoom meetings.
The speakers at the 2021 Alumni Meet Up were Ayu Kartika Dewi and Vania Santoso. Ayu Kartika Dewi currently serves as Special Staff to the President of Indonesia and Managing Director at the Indika Foundation. Previously, Ayu worked as Special Staff to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Associate Director at the Presidential Work Unit during President SBY's tenure and Consumer Insight Manager at P&G. Ayu spent a year teaching elementary school in North Maluku. Ayu has founded several social movements: AjakGerak.id, SabangMerauke, Islamic Millennials, Failed Women, and Toleransi.id. Ayu once represented Indonesia at the 2017 Future Leaders Connect event in England and was selected by the Australia Awards Indonesia to take part in the Women Leadership Program in Melbourne. Currently, Ayu is writing two books: about mindfulness and about her experiences abroad.
Vania Santoso had the opportunity to learn more about global entrepreneurship from the United States Department of State at Stanford University through her short -term program scholarships. Vania Santoso changed his undergraduate thesis into a social company, Heystartic who promoted a sustainable lifestyle through recycled fashion products. Vania shows a commitment to overcome the climate crisis and advance the solution has been recognized as one of the 100 'green ticket' winners (of a group of more than 7,000 applicants) from the UN Foundation. This brought him to participate in the UN Youth Climate Summit at the UN Headquarters in New York, including presenting Heystartic at the SDGs Media Center and attending the Exclusive Annual UN Private Sector Forum. Vania is also recently included in Forbes 30 under 30.
