ECW is one of the major work programs implemented by the 2021 Development Economics Student Association. This program with an entrepreneurship theme is under the entrepreneurship department of HIMA EP Unair.
The Entrepreneurship and Career Workshop (ECW) is an event that provides knowledge on how to create or enter the world of business, as well as insights and skills in preparing for the workforce, as well as job information for job seekers through training and workshops. In addition to job seekers, ECW also provides knowledge for students who want to start their own businesses. In 2021, ECW's theme is "The Importance of Human Capital in the Professional World," which consists of two series of events: the first series is a Web Seminar on careers and entrepreneurship. The second series is a workshop.
On November 13, 2021, a career webinar with the theme "Optimizing Your Potential to Compete in the Professional World" was successfully held. It consisted of two sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session. The first session discussed careers, titled "Establish Your Preeminence for a Purposeful Career Journey." The second session discussed entrepreneurship, titled "Turn Your Potential to Solve Real-Life Problems Through Entrepreneurship.".
In this webinar, in the first session of the ECW career webinar, the Chief People Officer from tiket.com, Mr. Dudi Arisandi, and the Country Head of Organization & Talent Development from Lazada Indonesia, Mr. Yanuar Kurniawan, were invited, and moderated by a lecturer from the Department of Economics, Universitas Airlangga, Mr. Syaikh Rohman.
This webinar discussed how to optimize your strengths to achieve your future career path. A Q&A session about careers was also held with the two of them. Hundreds of participants from across Indonesia attended Session 1.
In the second session, a webinar on entrepreneurship was continued, namely "Turn Your Potential to Solve Real-life Problems Through Entrepreneurship", where in this session, the Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer of Aruna Indonesia, namely Utari Octavianty, and the founder of Hi Cups, namely Kathleen Gondoutomo, were invited
In this session, in accordance with the theme, we discussed various potential developments that exist around us to solve problems in everyday life through entrepreneurial activities, such as Kak Utari who developed Aruna from the problem of fishermen who had difficulty marketing their catch.
Finally, the 10th ECW Webinar was a success and was attended by hundreds of participants from various regions. We hope that the knowledge provided by the speakers at this event can be applied by participants in their respective regions.
