"ECONABLE" is an annual program of the Department of Social, Community, and Environmental Affairs (SOSMAL) of the Student Association of Economics, Universitas Airlangga which focuses on environmentally sustainable development through lifestyle changes. The program is designed to increase student awareness and active participation in environmental management through educational and practical approaches.

With the theme "Trash to Treasure: From Plastic Waste to Game-Changer," ECONABLE 2025 serves as a platform to foster innovation and awareness of plastic waste issues, while simultaneously developing participants' skills and creativity in transforming waste into useful and aesthetic products. This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 13 on Climate Action, by encouraging the public, especially students, to play an active role in real action to reduce environmental impact.

Through a series of educational and hands-on workshops, participants will receive presentations from the Earth Hour Surabaya environmental community and participate in hands-on ecobrick-making, creating bookshelves and flower vases from used plastic bottles. The workshop products will be donated to marginalized children's communities like WEPOSE and 1000 Guru as a form of social contribution.

By involving students and the general public, this activity not only raises awareness of the importance of waste management and a sustainable lifestyle, but also opens up space for the younger generation to be creative, collaborate, and create concrete solutions to existing environmental problems.
