On Friday, May 7, 2021, an Investor Activation was held by the KSPM FEB Unair. Investor Activation is a routine activity held every semester and is a continuation of the previously held Capital Market School. This time, the AI was held online via Zoom with the theme "Trading Psychology: Understanding Investor Behavior During Economic Recovery," with approximately 74 participants. The AI event began at 8:00 a.m. and was hosted by MC Betris.
The pandemic, which has been ongoing since March 2020, has changed many aspects of life. Many activities have been impacted, preventing them from operating as they should. Despite this, investment trends have actually shown an increase among Indonesians. With this growing trend, the need for investment knowledge has also increased. Therefore, SPM and AI are presented as educational activities about the world of capital markets and investment, initiated by the KSPM FEB Unair for beginners interested in them.
This year's AI invited two speakers, one of whom was Adhitya Naufal Azmi, the 2021 Chair of ISP Surabaya. In his presentation, Adhitya explained investment in general and investment tips for beginners. The second speaker, Peni Rahmadani from Indo Premier Sekuritas, served as an investment specialist. The second session covered fundamental and technical analysis. In her presentation, Peni explained how to prepare for initial investment, namely the 3Ms (money, mind, and method). These are important considerations before investing. Furthermore, selecting securities and stocks is also a crucial consideration when starting an investment. Peni also explained how to select stocks through fundamental and technical analysis.
In addition to material presentations, the Investor Activation event also included games, making the event less monotonous and more interactive with participants. It is hoped that educational activities like this Investor Activation will encourage Indonesians to be more discerning in choosing stocks and investments, thereby reducing the risk of falling prey to fraudulent investments.
