The Tax Plore Scientific Paper Competition is an annual event organized by the Fiscal Administration Student Association of the University of Indonesia (KOSTAF). The event aims to bring together economics students and provide a platform for them to share their ideas and solutions related to taxation in the digital age.
This year's Tax Plore Scientific Paper Competition carries the theme "Taxation in the Digital Age ." This theme coincides with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is projected to be a new frontier in industry, where the majority of industrial activities can be digitized, increasing business efficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, it requires consideration of the challenges and opportunities of taxation in the digital age.
This agenda has three stages, namely starting with the preliminary round which is selected from various universities in Indonesia and the top 10 are determined to qualify for the final round or presentation stage, then the 5 best teams are determined to advance to the case study round, then the 3 best teams to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
The teams that made it to the final round were Telkom University, Universitas Airlangga, University of Indonesia, Gajah Mada University, Sebelas Maret University, and the State Polytechnic of Finance STAN. The final results of the competition were first place was taken by Gajah Mada University, second place by the State Polytechnic of Finance STAN, and third place by Universitas Airlangga on behalf of Yuliandi Fikri, Bachelor of Development Economics 2015, and Hasbi Ashshidiqi, Diploma 3 Taxation 2015.
