The FEB Unair futsal delegation on the national stage. A new history for the FEB futsal community who participated in the national level futsal competition. Of course, the results of this delegation are a manifestation of the routine training carried out by the SEGA department of BEM FEB Kabinet Juang 2018. FEB futsal participated in the 2018 EST Brawijaya competition held by Brawijaya University, Malang. This competition was attended by various faculties throughout Indonesia to compete for the National Champion EST Brawijaya.
The determination and enthusiasm of the FEB futsal players are very great because they are willing to come all the way to Malang to defend the name of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga on the national stage, which has never been done before by FEB Unair, especially in the field of sports interests and talents.
For approximately five days from November 24-28, 2018, the FEB futsal delegation consisting of 13 FEB futsal athletes had to compete with FISIP Unej, FIK UMM, and FISIP UMM who were included in group B to compete for the position of group champion or group runner-up to qualify for the top eight of futsal. It was very unfortunate that the FEB Unair futsal had to submit to the three faculties and suffered three defeats and finished at the bottom of the group B standings.
"This is indeed a positive step with the participation of the FEB futsal community in the national championship. It cannot be denied that our preparations were inadequate, and the team was only formed less than three days after the event. This is a constructive lesson for us. Hopefully, in the future, FEB futsal will be more diligent in training and disciplined in its implementation," added Rifki Fardian, Deputy for Sports of the BEM FEB Kabinet Juang 2018
This defeat served as a valuable lesson for the FEB futsal team, encouraging them to train harder and achieve the desired results. This delegation demonstrates that the FEB futsal team is capable and worthy of competing with other faculties in Indonesia. Hopefully, the FEB futsal team's participation will boost interest and talent in the sport, encouraging them to demonstrate their abilities on the national stage.
