Future Chartered Accountants Event 2018

The Future Chartered Accountants Event 2018 is a series of events held to celebrate Indonesian Young Accountants Day. This event facilitates prospective accountants to take their oath together and build a better accountancy history. The event, organized by ICAEW, the world's largest accounting association with certifications accepted worldwide, with its headquarters in the UK, made this event truly extraordinary. The event, which included a paper competition for public presentations, concluded with a seminar and oath ceremony attended by 85 university delegates from all accounting student associations in Indonesia, making this event truly festive. The two-day event, held on October 25th and 26th, 2018, at Krida Wacana Christian University, provided extraordinary encouragement, experience, and improvement for me personally and for many people in general. A warm welcome was given by Krida Wacana Christian University, appearing in a comfortable and peaceful condition, this University presented an imam to conduct Friday prayers in the Hall in an unusual way, they even provided a new mosque carpet for Muslims who wanted to pray.

It would be difficult to describe the two-day series of events. The invaluable experiences I gained from each event. The opportunity to learn and build relationships with other participants, as well as the confidence gained during presentations and standing in front of a large audience to convince others to accept my ideas, are some of the most valuable takeaways I've ever received.

Another thing, I gained a sense of self and was able to reflect on myself from the evaluations I received while working with other accounting students. I still have to work harder to become a truly competent accountant with above-average competence and expertise. And there's a lot to consider to stay competitive and improve. Time teaches us, but the choice to learn honestly lies with each individual. Hopefully, I'll gain that and have the opportunity to be part of creating history, along with accounting.
