Business Plan Competition (BPC) 2018

The 2018 Business Plan Competition (BPC) is a national-level business idea competition for university students. The competition was held by the Student Executive Board (BEM KM) of the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) of Sriwijaya University from October 15th to 18th, 2018. The BPC was held to increase students' awareness of information and business opportunities in their environment and to enable them to become problem solvers, packaged in a business idea. Therefore, my team and I registered to participate in this Business Plan Competition, hoping to bring a business idea that could solve existing problems. Initially, as the initiator of the business idea, I invited two friends to participate in the competition. Then, we registered as a team under the name Ksatria Airlangga, where the first stage was the abstract selection of the business idea proposal. The business idea we raised was to create a digital startup for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that implemented an integrated platform concept based on a website and application. An integrated platform or integrated business model is a startup development concept that integrates all the services offered. In implementing this concept, we integrated four services offered, including MSME Services, MSME Products, MSME Invest, and the MSME Forum. After that, our team was declared to have passed the abstract selection along with 31 other teams. Then, we submitted a full proposal which would later determine whether to enter the final stage where only the 11 best teams were selected to present their business ideas. Alhamdulillah, with the process of creating a good and interesting business proposal, our team qualified for the final stage. Next, we prepared materials for the final stage, including PowerPoint and prototypes. Finally, with what could be said to be extraordinary efforts, our team was able to win the award as Second Place. This achievement is certainly inseparable from the support of various parties, including Universitas Airlangga , especially FEB and colleagues who always provided criticism, suggestions and input. Furthermore, we also believe that with the spirit of confidence that efforts will succeed, then Allah will make all matters easier for His servants.
