It is a collaborative Student Exchange program organized by Universitas Airlangga and University Utara Malaysia which sent five student delegates with one accompanying lecturer from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic Economics Study Program, Universitas Airlangga to conduct studies and research at Universiti Utara Malaysia on November 25 – December 2, 2018.
The five students who were given the opportunity to become delegates were Muhammad Rasyid, Rofadatul Hasanah, Nadira Rahmandani, Annisa Rahma Febriyanti, and Adinda Nur Wahidin. Accompanied by Mr. Sulisty Rusgianto, SE., MIF. as a supervisor during their time at UUM, the students had the opportunity to experience the academic atmosphere in another country and understand learning directly both in terms of theory and practice more broadly and internationally. The expected output of this student exchange program is one of them regarding writing and journal publications where each paper presented will be assessed by a team of lecturers from both Universitas Airlangga and Universiti Utara Malaysia .
This activity is expected to explore new ideas that are hot topics in the development of Islamic economics in the modern era, as well as realizing Universitas Airlangga vision of becoming a world-class university and contributing to Indonesia's economic progress.
