The Indonesia International Student Mobility Award (IISMA) is a scholarship program run by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students to study at renowned universities abroad. Students can spend up to one semester at a partner university overseas to study, learn about the culture of the host country, and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills. According to an announcement from the Ministry of Education and Culture, the goal of this innovation is to facilitate Indonesian students in gaining knowledge and skills, exchanging ideas and cultures, and building networks with peers, academics, and the international community. With this goal in mind, through this program, students can take up to four multidisciplinary courses and participate in various activities at host universities, consisting of 60 global partner universities spread across various countries.
This year, IISMA will send 1,000 students from across Indonesia. Universitas Airlangga Universitas Airlangga is among the universities with the highest number of applicants, and 52 students were selected to receive this award. Nine students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga also passed this program, namely Dewi Nabilah Anwar (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at the University of Twente, Putri Nabilah (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at the University of Twente, Vina Kusuma Andriani (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at Korea University, Elkabyta Auvianty Bintarto (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at the University of Szeged, Salwaa Fauziyyah Jatmiko (Bachelor of Development Economics 2019) at the University of Szeged, Diva Rifda Nabilah (Bachelor of Development Economics 2019) at the University of Sussex, Carina Jesslyn Tjandraatmadja (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at the University of Edinburgh, Nadiatul Qalbi Amalia Rizqi (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at Nanyang Technological University, and Adma Wahyu Dwi Shania (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at the University of Malaysian nationality. These students are scheduled to study from August to December 2021.
