The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an activity designed to enrich the quality of individuals who learn (students) in higher education institutions, with the aim of forming them to become contributors to society who have academic and/or professional expertise. This expertise includes the ability to implement, expand, and distribute scientific knowledge, technology, and/or art, as well as to enrich national cultural heritage. Students are required to be able to contribute to the development of science and contribute creative and constructive thinking to participate in realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, one of which is through the PKM held by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This program is expected to be one of the student platforms to become an agent of innovative change based on the mastery of science and technology and faith towards God Almighty.
This program supports SDGs 4 points (quality education) because PKM plays a crucial role in achieving the established educational goals. PKM functions as a medium that facilitates students to expand and apply their knowledge and skills in a practical and realistic environment. Within the Merdeka Learning Policy Framework-Merdeka Campus (MBKM), which was launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek), PKM was identified as a platform that provides opportunities for students to choose and explore various disciplines according to their interests, which will later benefit the nation and society.
