FEB Competition Club - The United Nations model is one of the work programs of the BEM Scientific Department of FEB UNAIR 2020 in the form of training activities to elected delegates from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga to take part in the International United Nations Model Conference. The delegates were trained for 4 months (February - June) by Demas Nauvarian (International Relations 2017) and Putu Shangrina Pramudia (International Relations 2017) to be ready to participate in a United Nations model conference.
Model United Nations is a simulation of a UN (United Nations) session where the delegates will represent a country that is part of one of the UN Councils. The delegates will give each other arguments that are in accordance with the policies and alignments of the countries they represent to find the best solution regarding the given topic that can be accepted by all countries. This activity is expected to develop the abilities of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga, such as diplomacy, leadership, public speaking, writing, analysis and problem solving.
On June 13, 2020, the FEB Competition Club - Model United Nations succeeded in sending 5 delegates to take part in the Singapore Model United Nations (SMUN). The delegation team consists of Danendra Farazandy Budyanto (Islamic Economics 2019), Amara Salsabila (Management 2019), Putri Nabilah (Accounting 2019), Aniza Rania Devi (2017 Accounting), and Balqish Maryna Sari (2017 Management).
It is hoped that the delegates will be able to take many benefits from the conference so that they can apply them in everyday life and also provide knowledge related to Model United Nations to FEB UNAIR students as an opportunity for student self-development.
